Sustainability

It starts with the fabric.

To allow us to use the most eco-friendly materials possible, we have partnered up with Repreve. Our products are made using their high- quality and certified recycled fibers. This is the simple process of how we turn garbage into something useful.

STEP 1

Bottles are collected and recovered from oceans and landfill.

STEP 2

Plastic bottles are sorted, cleaned, then stored in recycling facilities.

STEP 3

The bottles are crushed into tiny pieces, then blended and melted at high temperatures to form tiny Repreve chips.

STEP 4

The pellets are transformed into thread through an extrusion and texturing process. The final result is a high quality recycled polyester thread.

STEP 5

The recycled polyester thread is weaved and dyed to form fabrics, which is then cut and stitched to form a pair of shorts!

We carefully select our partners.

SOCIAL COMPLIANCE

Our suppliers comply with all rules and regulations on both a local and international level.  This includes the right to collective bargaining, the prohibition of child labour, prohibition of forced labour, the prohibition of forced overtime and much more.

FAIR PAY AND BENEFITS

Our factories pay their workers well above the minimum wage in their respective countries. They also provide disability benefits, pension benefits and provide a health care professional on site during all working hours.

ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITY

They limit their carbon footprint in two ways. First, they only ship various materials by sea (as opposed to air) which allows for less consumption of fuel. Secondly, they  organize and sort their waste, so that any material that can be reused will still have value, and waste can be eliminated in the most efficient way.
